NPS announces its 2019 free admission days

Every year, the National Park Service waives entry admission into all of its 418 national monuments, parks, historic sites, memorials and more.

This is always a great way to get out and explore your nearest public lands if you don't have an annual pass or are testing the waters when it comes to buying one. Of the 418 designated national park sites, 115 typically charge a daily entrance fee for visitors. That is, after all, how our protected public lands stay afloat and supported; through admission.

For the upcoming 2019 year, the following dates will be fee-free:

  • January 21- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 20- the start of National Park Week
  • August 25- the National Park Service's birthday
  • September 28- National Public Lands Day
  • November 11- Veterans Day
